Medium: Large-Scale Outdoor Projection (video and audio)

This is a site-responsive outdoor projection composed of multiple recordings of a person walking with a flashlight, like a firefly glowing in the dark. Though the figure remains unseen, their movement traces a luminous path through shifting negative and positive space. Projected at 12:12 AM, when surrounding lights go dark, the layered motion quietly illuminates the return toward a distant house or studio and guides the way.
This piece was developed during my residency at I-Park in 2025. This research trip was supported by the Humanities Grant 2024-2025 awarded by Hamline University.
