Medium: 3D scans of face and the corresponding face file printed in clay using various nozzle shapes and sizes (0.3 mm) and manual intervention (adding clay and shapes during 3D printing). These clay prints were then 3D scanned again.
Scale: 3.94 x 4.67 x 4.21 inches each

This series uses iterative 3D mark-making to explore variations in form through a blend of digital and physical processes. Using a handheld 3D scanner (Polycam), I captured a rough digital model of my face. The scan was refined and converted into G-code for 3D printing. Each print varies through manual interventions during the printing process, such as switching nozzles and adding marks layer by layer. The resulting series consists of multiple versions of the same portrait, each with distinct surface textures and forms, produced by both machine-generated paths and hand-directed alterations.
